(MIAMI-January 27, 2021) – Distinction Agency, a Miami-based marketing agency that represents professional athletes, social media influencers and various businesses, announced today they have signed an exclusive marketing agreement with USA Track & Field star and Olympic hopeful, Curtis Mitchell. Distinction and Mitchell began working together in 2019 on a non-exclusive basis.
From Daytona Beach, Florida, Curtis Mitchell is a four-time outdoor All-American and state champion in the 100 and 200 m during his two years at Southwestern College. After transferring to Texas A&M University, Mitchell won the 200 m and was part of the University’s winning team in the 4x400 m relay. His 20.38 second time in the 200 m was the best indoor time in the school’s history and in the world that year. Mitchell’s second place finish in the 200 m helped Texas A&M win its second consecutive NCAA Championship.
After turning professional in January of 2011 and forgoing his final year of eligibility at Texas A&M, Mitchell joined Adidas and began training with two-time World Champion Tyson Gay. At the 2013 IAAF World Championships, Mitchell won Bronze behind Usain Bolt and Warren Weir with an official time of 20.04 seconds. Mitchell is currently training for the Tokyo Olympics and 2022 World Championships.
